The kit comprises a Thuraya handset, a docking station and a
Maritime Antenna which is compact in size and has a pole mount fitting. The
Thuraya handset can be removed from the docking station (security key included),
for mobile communications ashore or on deck. The docking station has an
integral handset for ease of use onboard. Another bonus of the Thuraya is
that it has GPS capability for a quick location reference and the ability to SMS
your position. The SeaCall Kit comes with 1 Maritime Super SIM card and 2
Scratchcards.
If you already own a Thuraya handset and SIM, we have an ‘upgrade’ kit
available which excludes the handset and SIM card.
The SeaCall will work in over 110 countries throughout the world, including
Europe, North and Central Africa, The Middle East, Central Asia and the Indian
subcontinent.
As well as voice communication, SeaCall will transfer data at speeds of
up to 60kbps, send and receive fax and SMS, and has a built-in GPS.
